GOP Senator Lamar Alexander’s Aide Arrested For Child Pornography (VIDEOS)

We last heard from Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) back in July, when he was fighting for his constituents’ right to fish in poisoned waters that had been declared unsafe by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Now he’s got bigger fish to fry. Politico reports that Lamar Alexander’s chief of staff, Jesse Ryan Loskarn, was arrested this week for not just having a little child pornography lying around but for distributing the nasty stuff. Now, there are some good old GOP family values for ya.

Of course we’re all innocent until proven guilty, but you know things are pretty danged serious when you see cops making a white guy — and an aide to Sen. Lamar Alexander to boot — do the perp walk in handcuffs. Okay, so they let Ryan Locksarn (he prefers to be known by his middle name) drape a jacket over the handcuffs, but we all know they’re there. He was driven away in an unmarked car.

Sen. Lamar Alexander’s chief of staff was nabbed for child porn.

The DC Postal Inspection service thought something was up and searched Ryan Locksarn’s home. The folks from the post office removed “several bags of evidence and a computer.” They also did a search on the computers in Sen. Lamar Alexander’s DC office after getting an okay from him. A court hearing with Ryan Locksarn was held on Thursday.

What’s next for Sen. Lamar Alexander’s office?

Well, it’s pretty clear that things look pretty bad for Jesse Ryan Loskarn, and that Sen. Lamar Alexander needs a new chief of staff ASAP. Locksarn has been taken off the office’s payroll, and David Cleary — another aide — will be replacing him. But how does a right-wing, GOP senator who wants to look good to folks back home explain this whole mess? He told reporters, “I am stunned, surprised and disappointed by what I have learned.” Strangely enough, Lamar Alexander’s statement also aptly explains how many of us feel about the GOP.
