Government spends $222,000 just to build bathroom.

Take a look at your knew $222,000 bathroom. We paid for it, but will never get a chance to use it. When I first read this article, It was clear to me government really has stopped working for the American people. The renovations were approved and contracted by the General Services Administration, that's right  the same organization that found itself mired in scandal last year after a lavish Las Vegas training conference came to light.
In 2007 under President George W. Bush, Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne did not like his personal 100-square-foot bathroom.
The U.S. national debt was about $9 trillion in 2007. The General Services Administration still approved the wasteful spending of  $222,000 of our tax dollars for the renovations without blinking an eye. I think this was a no brainier. What they should have done was rejected the request Laughing at him while telling him "If you do not like the bathroom, their is a public bathroom down the hall." How can Congress say to the American people "government has no funding for public services to the states, counties, and cites, and we must start reducing funds for education," while wasting $222,000 on a private bathroom. Oviously no one is in charge or deciding how the money is spent.
A number of the items incorporated into the renovation show means of fraud and deliberate deception using U.S. tax dollars for private use in purchasing luxurious materials.” Luxurious items include  $3,500 sub-zero refrigerator, $2,600 custom cabinetry, a $689 faucet and even a $65 “vintage tissue holder,” all at taxpayers’ expense.

Washington has stalled approving most aid, relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy. They want to cut all social programs, including Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, housing and food programs for the poor, education any and everything, that is, that doesn’t affect them directly.
My Opinion
Every time a Republican tries to cut a bill or cut services to the American people because of fiscal restraints, Democrats should hold up the bathroom picture to remind them of their spending they have indulged in over the years with bush's administration. Washington needs to bring fraud charges against Dirk  Kempthorne, and force Dirk to pay back every cent of the $222,000 back to the American people. Accountability needs to be taken over the trillions of dollars wasted.
